3rd race [OC 50k/N1X, 1 ½ mi TURF] – (4) Be of Courage (D) returns in just 18 days after getting bet down from 12-1 to 6-1 in a NY-bred stakes race. (7) Lord Flintshire will go the mile and a half for hurdle and flat trainer Keri Brion. The jumper can easily handle the distance and the allowance competition. (6) St James the Great the same can be said for this guy who raced in stakes company last time for the same trainer before beginning his career in steeplechase races. (2) Hamilton’s Way returns as a new gelding.

4th race [OC40k/SAL, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (6) Bottle Rocket finished third and then second at this condition, most recently 17 days ago. (1) Temple City Taboo was second in a Gulfstream Park starter allowance last month before changing to a New York-based trainer when he tried an allowance at Saratoga. (2) How Sweet She Is was first and second twice at Mid-Atlantic tracks for Jamie Ness moving through restricted claimers to an allowance. (4) Pallotta Sisters has moved between the barns of Brad Cox and Wayne Potts a few times.

5th race [Clm 50000 N2L, 7F] – (3) Golden Symphony broke his maiden two starts ago for a $50,000 tag and then caught a muddy and sealed track. (8) Middle Market returned from more than a year off for Chad Brown at Monmouth Park and drops into a N2L condition for the first time. (7) Awesome Empire will try the main track for the first time after racing on turf and synthetic and moving to the barn of a new trainer. (4) Blown Cover was claimed last month for $30,000 from a third after pressing the pace.

7th race [Wilton, 1 mi] – (6) Sweet Seraphine came back from a nine-month layoff following her debut to win a maiden special weight at Churchill Downs as the 2-1 favorite. (2) Cat Chat won her last two starts moving from a maiden in Florida to an allowance at Aqueduct. (4) Dry Powder won her first career start in March at Gulfstream and then was second in an allowance in New York after pressing the pace and getting the lead. (3) Mazayaat broke her maiden in her third try with a speed figure that tops this field.

Best bets: Bottle Rocket (4th); Sweet Seraphine (7th). Be of Courage (3rd); Golden Symphony (5th).
