Making his 2025 debut, 100% Racing Stable’s homebred Herchee took command at the top of the stretch and drew off to a 3-length victory in the $130,000 Terminus Farm Purse on Thursday, the penultimate day of the Keeneland Spring Meet. (Click here for a video of the race.)
Trained by Helen Pitts-Blasi, Herchee and jockey Edgar Morales covered the 1 1/16 miles on the firm turf course in 1:40.35.
Herchee, the second choice in the field of 12, paid $9.96, $5.44 and $4.02. Runner-up El Rezeen, who was ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr., returned $8.90 and $5.22. Finishing a nose behind in third was Intellect (FR), who paid $4.10 under Flavien Prat.
A 4-year-old gelding by Twirling Candy, Herchee is out of Gone Theatrical, by Theatrical (IRE). He earned $73,548 for today’s performance, which marked his third win in six starts and increased his career bankroll to $526,273.
