Keeneland Representatives to Compete Tuesday at Royal Ascot

Race 1: Queen Anne (G1), 4-year-olds and up, 1 mile at 9:30 a.m. ET. 

  • Carl Spackler (IRE) won Keeneland’s Maker’s Mark Mile (G1) on April 11. He won the Coolmore Turf Mile (G1) here in October. 

Race 4: St. James’s Palace (G1), 3-year-old colts, 1 mile at 11:20 a.m. 

  • Godolphin’s Ruling Court (Justify-Inchargeofme [GB]), winner of the May 3 Betfred Two Thousand Guineas (G1) at Newmarket in England, was consigned by co-breeder Nursery Place to the 2023 Keeneland September Yearling Sale and sold to Norman Williamson for $150,000. 
  • Henri Matisse won the 2024 Breeders’ Cup Juve nile Turf (G1) at Del Mar. 

Race 5: Ascot Stakes, 4-year-olds and up, 2½ miles at noon. 

  • AMO Racing’s Mr Hampstead (Galileo [IRE]-Daddys Lil Darling) sold for $575,000 at Book 1 of the 2022 September Yearling Sale to Robson Aguiar/AMO Racing. Consigned by Denali Stud, agent, he was bred by Orpendale/Chelston/Wynatt.
