Auction is Friday at 6:30 p.m.

A total of 88 horses have been cataloged to Friday’s Keeneland April Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The auction, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, follows 10 races on closing day of the Spring Meet. Click here for the online catalog and here for full-sale form figures.

These two horses are in the latest round of supplements:

• Faith Understood, a 4-year-old Grade 3-placed daughter of Catholic Boy who won her first race at 3 at Keeneland and went on to finish second in the Memories of Silver Stakes (L) at Aqueduct and third in the Honeymoon (G3) at Santa Anita. Consigned by ELiTE, agent, Faith Understood is out of the stakes-placed winner Zia, by Munnings, and from the family of Grade 3 winner River Seven.
• Purloin, a 4-year-old winning filly by Arrogate consigned by Grovendale Sales, agent. A winner of her career debut at Belmont at the Big A, she is out of Smooth Path, by Scat Daddy, and from the family of European champions Commander in Chief and Warning (GB).

A print catalog is available for pickup at Keeneland’s Information Center (formerly called the Welcome Center) located near the Grandstand South and Clubhouse entrance. A supplemental catalog will be printed prior to the sale.

Preparing for the April Sale

Buyers who plan to attend the April Sale or participate remotely should register for an account and establish credit within the Keeneland Sales Portal. Keeneland recommends beginning this process as soon as possible.

Online and phone bidding available: Buyers may watch a real-time video view of the live sale and bid simultaneously from Keeneland’s online bidding platform accessible through their accounts in the Keeneland Sales Portal. Two online options are available: a live, on-demand bid that occurs manually and a max bid, which allows the software to bid on your behalf up to a designated price.
